We would like to thank everyone who entered and participated in the Bridlington Week-end of Motoring on 9 and 10 September 2017 for attending and giving us such an excellent few days fun and entertainment.
This was despite the forecast being a little dubious. Regardless we were very fortunate as the weather only turned a little mid-afternoon when people started thinking of going home.
On Saturday evening the original Stig, Perry McCarthy had everyone falling off their seats at The Spa with stories of his escapades, while the Sunday Challenge tour and Economy Run organised by the North Humberside Motor Club on Sunday morning simply perfect.
With was such a cross section of amazing vehicles it would be wrong to single any out without upsetting others but a special thanks must go to Steve Smith who took along his monster 1930’s Hotchkiss race car. As it is road registered he even took part in the Parade which amazed a few in downtown Bridlington as they went for the Sunday papers.
We are also most grateful to Richardson Ford for their support.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council are to be congratulated for having the foresight to encourage such a cross-section of car and motorbike people to get together and make the week-end such a success.
The plan now is to build on the formula of what we have which created such a happy, interesting and friendly day with even more disciplines and variety for next year.
We will settle and publicise the BWOM 2018 date by the end of September 2017.
