A prestigious race tour for historic cars
7-9 September 2010
We extend our thanks!

13 October 2009
On behalf of directors Alec Poole and Fred Gallagher, may I extend the thanks of all the Organising Team of Tour Britannia to the hundreds of marshals from race, rally and, indeed, from many motorsport disciplines, who turned out to help run the Event's many competitive sections on racetrack and 'stage' so safely and effectively.

Particularly, I wish to pass on the gratitude of so many competitors who went out of their way to express to me their thanks to all who again made Tour Britannia such a successful event, a number of the seasoned competitors commenting on how much more friendly and efficiently-run the Tour was than its counterparts on the continent. Bravo for British marshals!

To recruit over 400 officials, on weekdays, to help run venues in an area stretching from Oxfordshire to North Yorkshire was always a daunting task. However, through the good offices of the HSCC, marshals' clubs, associations and motor clubs throughout the areas and the sterling efforts of the stage commanders and race officials, all the venues were manned by experienced and capable marshals who carried out their duties with professionalism and courtesy.

The success of this year's Tour is down to many things, not least those of the efforts of the marshals. To you all - enormous thanks.
