Tour Britannia Team Prize Announced

In response to encouragement from many of our current entrants, Tour Britannia has introduced a One Make Team prize for the Competition Category in 2010.
Simply, the winner will be whichever nominated team of three cars has the lowest total of the class positions of its individual members. In other words, if the team’s three cars all win their classes, then the team score is ‘3’ which, a bit like a Royal Flush, is rather hard to beat. As far as strategy in forming a team is concerned, it would probably not pay to have all three cars coming from the same class as that would mean that the lowest score possible would be one plus two plus three, i.e. ‘6’.
As prizes, our partners Ogdens of Harrogate have agreed to donate the prizes for the One Make Team competition by matching the six Fortis watches that will be awarded to the first three crews overall in the Regularity Category. Thus, competitors will be delighted to know that they are also donating six more watches for the three crews whose team wins the One Make Team prize in the Competition Category. Each watch is worth in excess of £1,000.
The Team entry fee is only £60 per car (i.e. £180 per team of three cars) so if you are considering entering Tour Britannia 2010, or have already entered, this prize should encourage competitors to get together with like minded souls for some extra fun by creating their own dream team.
We are pleased to be able to report that we had a very strong interest in Tour Britannia at the Race Retro Show with loads of people coming on the stand to chat, those who are already entered as well as ‘possibles’. As a consequence, entries to date are well ahead of where we were at the same time last year, although while saying that don’t be put off by assuming that we must be full as there is still space available if you are thinking of joining us this year.
